Voice Consent Policy
If you enroll your voice with Call for Action, this policy explains how we collect, use, store, and delete your voice and voice biometric data.
Effective Date: June 8, 2026
Voice Enrollment, Consent & Biometric Data Handling
1. What This Covers
This policy governs the optional feature that lets you record and submit a sample of your own voice ("Voice Sample") so that our automated calling agent can place authorized outbound calls using a synthesized version of your voice (your "Voice Model"). It supplements, and does not replace, our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If you do not enroll a voice, none of this policy applies to you, and calls are placed using a standard, non-personalized agent voice.
2. Plain-Language Summary
- We collect your voice recording and create a Voice Model from it.
- We use your Voice Model only to place calls you specifically authorize.
- You keep ownership of your voice. You grant us a limited license to use it for the purpose above and nothing else.
- We do not use your Voice Model to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve any AI or voice model owned by Call for Action.
- We delete your voice data 90 days after your account is last used, and within 30 days of a verified deletion request or account closure.
- You can access, correct, or delete your voice data at any time.
- Enrolling requires your explicit, separate opt-in consent.
3. What We Collect
When you use voice enrollment, we collect and generate:
- Voice Sample(s): the raw audio recording(s) you submit during enrollment.
- Voice Model / voiceprint: the derived biometric representation generated from your Voice Sample, used to synthesize speech in your voice.
- Associated metadata: enrollment timestamp, consent record, device/source of the recording, and a log of calls placed using your Voice Model.
Your voiceprint is biometric data. We treat it as sensitive personal information subject to heightened protection.
4. How We Use It
We use your Voice Sample and Voice Model solely to:
- Generate speech in your voice for outbound calls that you have specifically authorized (per-call or per-campaign confirmation in chat).
- Maintain the integrity and security of your account and the calling service.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to your data requests.
We will not:
- Use your Voice Model to place any call you have not authorized.
- Use your Voice Sample or Voice Model to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or otherwise improve any AI or voice model owned by Call for Action.
- Sell, rent, or license your voice data to third parties.
- Use your voice for advertising or to create any voice-based product unrelated to placing your authorized calls.
5. Ownership & License
You retain all rights you hold in your voice and your Voice Sample. Enrolling does not transfer ownership to us.
By enrolling, you grant Call for Action a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to process your Voice Sample and Voice Model strictly for the purposes described in Section 4. This license terminates when you delete your Voice Model or close your account, after which we delete the underlying data per Section 7.
6. Consent
Voice enrollment is opt-in. Before we record or process any Voice Sample, you must provide explicit, affirmative consent that is separate from acceptance of our general Terms of Service. We will:
- Present this disclosure (or a summary linking to it) at the point of enrollment.
- Require an affirmative action (e.g., a dedicated checkbox or confirmation) specific to voice biometric processing.
- Record the date, version of this policy, and method of your consent.
You may withdraw consent at any time (see Sections 7 and 9). Withdrawal stops future use and triggers deletion, but does not undo calls already placed.
6.1 You Must Be Enrolling Your Own Voice
You may only submit a Voice Sample of your own voice, or a voice you are legally authorized to submit and use. By enrolling, you represent and warrant that:
- The voice in the Voice Sample is yours, or you have the documented right and authorization to use it; and
- Your use of the resulting Voice Model will not impersonate any person without authorization or violate any law.
Submitting another person's voice without authorization is prohibited and may result in suspension, deletion of the Voice Model, and other remedies.
7. Retention & Deletion
- Retention: We retain your Voice Sample and Voice Model while your account is in active use, and delete them 90 days after your account is last used, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Deletion on request: You may delete your Voice Model at any time from your account Settings → Voice, or by contacting us at [email protected]. We will delete it and the underlying Voice Sample within 30 days of a verified request.
- Deletion on account closure: Closing your account deletes your Voice Sample and Voice Model within 30 days.
- Processor deletion: We will direct our service providers (including our telephony and voice synthesis providers) to delete copies within 30 days.
- Residual records: We may retain a minimal, non-biometric record that enrollment and deletion occurred (e.g., consent and deletion logs) for legal and audit purposes.
8. Third Parties & Processors
Outbound calls are executed through our telephony and voice synthesis providers and related subprocessors. These providers process your Voice Model only to deliver the calling service on our behalf, under contractual terms that require them to honor the use, retention, and deletion commitments in this policy. We do not authorize them to use your voice data for their own purposes.
9. Your Rights
Subject to verification of your identity, you may:
- Access a copy of the voice data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate associated information.
- Delete your Voice Sample and Voice Model.
- Withdraw consent to voice processing.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable law provides those rights.
To make a request, contact [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Texas CUBI Act, Washington's biometric law, and state comprehensive privacy laws (e.g., California CPRA).
10. Disclosure on Calls
Where required by law or our policies, calls placed using your Voice Model will include appropriate disclosure that the call is placed on your behalf and/or uses an automated or recorded/synthesized voice. You are responsible for ensuring the content you authorize is lawful and not deceptive.
11. Security
We protect voice data using administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and authentication, and regular security audits and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of biometric data.
12. Changes
If we materially change how we handle voice data, we will notify enrolled users and, where required, obtain renewed consent before applying the change to your existing Voice Model.
