Ban FLOCK Surveillance Cameras
Flock Safety automatic license plate readers (ALPRs) are rapidly proliferating across the United States, installed by local governments and law enforcement agencies with the help of federal funding. These cameras continuously capture and store the movements of ordinary Americans — without a warrant, without consent, and without meaningful oversight — raising serious Fourth Amendment concerns about warrantless mass surveillance of the public.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) has introduced legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives that would ban federal agencies from purchasing Flock cameras and eliminate federal funding to cities and states that deploy them.
