Protect Our Public Lands from Sale and Drilling

The administration has already taken sweeping action: moving the U.S. Forest Service headquarters to Utah and shuttering research stations in 31 states, gutting the Roadless Area Conservation Rule to expose 59 million acres of national forestland to logging, and targeting iconic regions like Minnesota's Boundary Waters, New Mexico's Greater Chaco region, and Nevada's Ruby Mountains for mining and drilling. Most alarming, H.R. 1 — the so-called "One Big Beautiful Bill" — mandates that over 1.3 million acres of Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge be auctioned off for oil and gas extraction.
These are not just policy adjustments — they represent a fundamental shift in who our public lands serve. For generations, these spaces have been protected for wildlife, recreation, clean water, and the enjoyment of every American. The current administration is moving to hand them over to fossil fuel companies and private interests for profit.
